Great News for a Friday

Well, we got some excellent news this morning. We are scheduled to leave Kokshetau for Almaty Sunday, Jan 15th!!! That is 3 days earlier than we expected. Oleg our driver here just returned with our airline tickets, so it is official! We were originally scheduled to head back to Almaty on Wed the 18th. At this point we have no idea if this will affect our return home. I would seem to follow that we would come home earlier than anticipated also but we don't know yet. At least in Almaty, it is warmer, we can get out of the apartment with Megan, there are American style restaurants, etc. Not to mention ESPN, CNN and FOXNews all in English on TV. Maybe we'll be able to catch some playoff football, although I may have to stay up all night to see it. Amy also just reminded me that there is a Baskin-Robbins in Almaty as well, I don't know how I could have forgotten that!

Anyway, other than that nothing else to report, Megan has a bit of a cold and a cough, doesn't seem too serious. She is still cute as a button.

Here are a few pictures from today:

We are so happy for you. Maybe you will get home sooner..

Do you mean to say that you need tickets to ride on that tin can.

Steve & Amy,
What a change in Megan...She is just beaming! It is true, enjoy this quiet, uninterupted time as a family. I bet you are just counting down the minutes until you are back home in N.Y. with your extended families. Can't wait to see your next photos. Michele.
