Party Day
We started off the day with a typical American breakfast - fried eggs delivered to our room. I will miss this room service as tomorrow we will move to Kelly's apartment since she is lucky enough to be leaving to go to Almaty as she completes the last week of her adoption process.
We once again went to visit with Megan in the morning. We show up to her private room to only find the door locked. We get someone to unlock the door only to find no Megan. She was the brought down to the room for our visit. I guess she spent the night in the room with all of the other children. Not sure why. At least she had some company for the night. She was once again a lot of fun to play with and again very predictable with her schedule. The caregivers have all the children on a very regimented schedule to maintain order in caring for all the children. We had a fun day with her. Time goes to fast and we hate to leave her.
After our visit we went over to Patty, Teresa and Michael's house for a going away party for Kelly, Grace and Kelly's mom Joyce. They are leaving Kokshetau tomorrow for Almaty. Kelly is so excited to be leaving Kokshetau since she has been here since early November. She will luckily be home for Christmas. We had some excellent meat pies (chicken and rice and another one was meat and potatoes). They were great. These can be ordered and delivered right to your door. (No Dominoes here). We also had an great cake. Sad day for us to see Kelly go, but after 5 weeks I don't blame her for wanting to leave. I am anxious to hear how her journey on the Yak plane is with a baby.
After the party we went back to our hotel and attempted to stay awake during Christmas Vacation. I think we both crashed around 9:00 pm. (I awoke around midnight for my nightly DVD showing - this time it was Sleepless in Kokshetau (or Seattle). Jet lag continues....
