Hamburgers for Breakfast????

This morning we had breakfast delivered to our hotel room. The night before Inna had asked us if we would like meat patties for breakfast. Sure we said not knowing exactly what to expect. Well at 9:00 am our hamburgers (without bun) were delivered to us for our breakfast. Accompanying them were sliced cucumbers and tomatoes. (When in Rome.......) - however later that day I asked Inna if that was a typical Kaz breakfast - she said no. I guess she thought Americans like hamburgers anytime of the day. Delicious at 9:00 am.

Off to visit Megan this morning. She was her cute self once again. We had a good time playing with her. She is awake when we get there and then the nurse brings us her bottle for us to give her. After the bottle we play for about an hour, then she naps for about 20-30 minutes. She is very predictable. Instead of being in a large room with the other children, she is in a small room all by herself. They do this so adopting parents don't bring in germs to spread to all the other children. It is very hard to leave her each day. We keep telling her that soon she will be out of this place.

For lunch we went to an Armenian Restaurant with Oleg, Inna, Teresa, Michael and Patty. It was very delicious. Steve had lamb and I had chicken. Not being the adventurous eater, I have to say that the food we have had so far is delicious. I am waiting to taste the ice cream which I have heard is great.

We then stopped off at the local market to pick up some supplies. Very interesting as you go to the dairy section, point to what you want and then pay for it. Then you go to the dry goods section and do the same thing. This can be repeated several times depending on how many sections you have to visit. No shopping carts either. No bulk shopping here.

We got dropped off at our hotel and struggled to stay awake until a respectable time. I think I made it till 6:00 pm - this is not respectable as I woke up at 10:45 pm wide awake. Luckily we brought over about 80 DVDs as there is no English channels here.

Here are more pictures of the main attraction:

Hi Steve and Amy
Well it sounds like your having a great time. I was just thinking that you know how you wrote that you only spend a few hours with Megan, well start singing one song to her everyday and it has to be the same song everyday, within a week or two she will recongnize the song and become more aware and comfortable with you, this is also a way for not only bonding but when she hears the song she will know that her mom and dad are with her. Just a thought I read this in a book and thought it might help. Well gotta go get Lily off to school. Dont worry your not missing anything here, cold and got ice last night and then maybe 8 inches of snow. Talk to ya later. Love Jenelle.
