Cheap Entertainment

Same routine different day. We visited with Megan from 10:30 to 12:30. As we walked in she gave us big smiles and was thrilled to see us. This is good to see. The rest of the day she was a tough cookie to get a smile out of. She really makes us work for them. She likes to play with toys that make sounds. So I decided that she might like a package of kleenex that I had in my purse. She thought that was the best toy ever. It was just the right size to fit into her hands and it made a great crackling sound. If I would have know how much she was going to like that package of kleenex I could have saved a lot of money on toys.

We then all went to lunch at a local restaurant. Finally I tried the Vodka. (Steve had already tried it a couple of days ago. ) Seems it is customary to drink shots of Vodka with meals. I decided that it smelled like nail polish remover. Regardless, bottoms up. Really didn't taste to bad though. We had an excellent lunch. After lunch we went shopping for a map of Kokshetau and a few groceries. We searched and searched for an ice cube tray. Inna didn't really know what we were referring to when we told her what we were looking to buy. Finally found one laying on a shelf in a old looking shop. It has probably been there for years as no one knew what it was for. We bought it. As you can tell, ice cubes are not found around here. (At dinner the other night we ordered a Pepsi. The waiter brought out a bottle of warm Pepsi. We told Inna to tell him to take it outside to get cold and bring it back to us in 15 minutes. ) The other item that Steve decided that he couldn't live without was a coffee pot. Coffee is not found to often here. We did find one and will donate it to the apartment for the next adopting families when we leave.

We just check the final of the Bills score. We are glad we didn't have to sit through that one. Go Sabres!

That is about it. Until tomorrow...

Here are a couple more pictures of Megan from today.

Amy...we could have saved bunches of money on toys. Grace likes her wet wipes packs. If I had known that all it would take was packs of kleenex and wet wipes, I probably wouldn't have had to pay all those fees for heavy luggage. Oh well! Megan is beautiful! Enjoy. Kelly

Amy and Steve,
I'm having a hard time leaving messages on this, maybe it's the 12 million miles away thing or maybe it's my inability to use computers. I'm so proud and happy for both of you and I LOVE reading everything you are all doing. Congrats!!! Viv
