Thank God for DVDs

Well we are definitely getting the taste of a typical Siberian winter. It hasn't gotten above zero for a couple days now. It's about -10 right now. The low tomorrow is -32 and the high for the day on Tuesday is forecast to be -19. By the way, these temperatures are farenheit not celsius.

Other than the weather, not a lot to report. We are just hanging out, playing with Megan, playing cards, surfing the net, watching some DVDs. We've really gotten hooked on the Sopranos as Amy mentioned the other day. We watch 3 or 4 episodes a day, yes we're pathetic.

A couple questions posted by people in comments, first, yes Mom, we do have to pay for the honor of getting on that airplane-shaped tin can, it ain't cheap either. Also, Caara, we haven't tried that pizza yet, I know that was a very exciting thing but Amy also picked up some pre-prepared dinners at the Viola store the one day she was there and we figured we had better eat those first. I think we may be eating the pizza tomorrow.

Well, that's about it for today, we continue to see Megan smiling more and more each day. It is such a switch from when we first met her and had to act like crazy people to get a smile out of her. Now all we have to do is smile at her or blow her a kiss and she busts out a huge smile. Megan slept well again last night, a good 10 hours straight and she takes 3 naps a day, 4 if you count first thing in the morning, she'll get up fairly early, sometime between 6:30 and 8:00, take a bottle and go right back to bed for another hour or so.

Well, here are more pictures:

Ann and Dave, this one is for you. Amy put in our Great Big Sea concert DVD and Megan was glued to the TV. It looks like we may have a budding Great Big Sea fan on our hands!

Ok... can i just say you guys are BLESSED to have a child that sleeps! That's amazing to me that she's doing that well and sleeping that long AND takes great naps! My kids were much older before they slept that well!

Ok...it's me again... It just occurred to me... you were headed to siberia... and you packed SHORTS? What prompted you to do that? I know that you said that the gov't controls the heat and your apartment is hot... did you know that beforehand? Or was it just luck that you packed shorts? Just wondering... By the way the Steelers beat Cincy 31-17. Go Steelers! ;-) Yeah... for those of you who don't know me...I'm from Pittsburgh!

Just saw the Great Big Sea photo! Woo hoo! Maybe she connects with folks from other cold climates - Newfoundland is probably pretty chilly right now too!
