The ups and downs of adoption

After consulting with an international adoption doctor we have decided to turn down the referral of this little girl due to a suspected medical condition. This is a sad, sad day. Back to waiting.

Birthday Surprise

Today I received an unexpected birthday present. We were totally caught off guard when our coordinator Lisa called me at work today and announced that she had a referral of a baby girl for us to consider. We were both shocked as we were not expecting this to happen until the end of October. Can you say instant panic? We received pictures, a medical history and a video of a cute 6 month old girl.
